Fastback Creative Books

Fastback creative books was started in 2003 by Camille Seaman (http://www.camilleseaman.com) and Kevin Parker (http://powis.com/). The goal was to make unique published quality books for serious photographers and artists in small quantities at affordable prices. At that point in time no venue like this existed, and many of our initial customers were friends and acquaintances of Camille, many of which had large bodies of unpublished work which they were delighted to have in a professional book format. Our goal was to work with them to make books to showcase their work to clients and in some cases for potential publishers.

Another goal of Fastback Creative Books emerged to prove the feasibility of a local "book salon" where artists, photographers, and design professionals, could come in and actually discuss their designs and custom needs to have a totally different experience from the over the web alternative.

We also want to demonstrate that this type of business can be built with a relatively modest investment and produce books of outstanding quality. To this end we have maintained a open door policy to anyone interested in starting in the photo book business, and have advised most of our competitors in their early stages. Powis http://powis.com/, makes the bindery equipment that we use, so at our roots we have an interest in seeing the market grow. We are happy to share information and tips. Contact us if you'd like to set up an appointment to see how our books are made. oliver@fastbackbooks.com

  • Architectural firms wanting unique proposals for new projects

The list keeps expanding.......
