Printing
We use Xerox printers exclusively to produce high quality black and white and color documents. The Xerox Phaser 7760 produces photo quality images at 1200dpi.
For foil printing on gloved spines we use Powis Parker's foil printer: the FoilFast® Printer. It prints in seven vibrant foil colors that produce shimmering results.
Paper
We use exclusively acid-free Mohawk Navajo digital paper for our books, dustjackets, softcovers & mounted images. This paper is brilliant white, 98 brightness, and a nice heavy stock, 162 gsm basis weight (equivalent to 110 lb text weight).
Binding
For the ultimate versatility in binding, while retaining strength and aesthetics, we use Powis' Fastback® PhotoBook Binder. Its capabilities include perfect binding (softcover books) and hard cover binding using the Hardcover™ Guide accessory.
Finishing
For finishing touches on the books we use a variety of trimmers, guillotines and laminators. We also use traditional bookmaking hand tools like xacto knives and bone folders.
Software
Adobe® Creative Suite 2 is a staple in our diet. With programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Professional we are fully armed with a complete set of professional layout & design tools to produce high quality professional books easily and efficiently.
